Porches are a great way to enjoy the outdoors while still being in the comfort of your home. However, what if you could take that porch and turn it into a livable space? By enclosing your porch, you can add an extra room to your house without the expense of building an addition. Here’s how to enclose a porch for living space.
Step 1: Check with Your Local Building Department
Before you start any construction, it’s important to check with your local building department to see if you need a permit for the work you plan on doing. Step 8: Add Flooring
To complete your enclosure, you’ll need to add flooring. You can use hardwood, tile, or carpet, depending on your preference and budget.
